The accident of a burning chicken truck kills hundreds of birds in San Pablo and closes the highway

SAN PABLO – Officials said that a truck carrying hundreds of live chickens had crashed under the flames, killing hundreds of people and killing thousands of fowl and indulging in a nosy Thursday morning in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The California Highway Patrol announced that the accident, at around 3:30 am, had blocked the westbound lanes of busy 80 Highway, at San Pablo, at San Pablo Dam Road. The corridors were closed at 0730 and teams continued to clear the road of cages filled with burned chickens.

According to KTVU, crews and CHP officers collected about 50 surviving birds wandering around the road.

Sgt Cpc Curtis Ice said the platform driver had been over-corrected on the road before making a gap in the center divider and then in another car. The driver had minor injuries.
