LEGO star wars unveiled a new set – the Imperial Star destroyer. The new creation of LEGO is the largest ensemble to date on the theme of Star Wars and contains 4784 individual pieces.

LEGO captures a ton of authentic details that appeared in the opening scene of Star Wars: new hope. the ship includes swiveling guns, a tilting radar antenna and huge reactor losses. it also comes with a scale version of the IV tantive used by leia to try to escape with the plans of the Death Star, which can be built separately and attached to the destroyer's bay bay star.

this set is part of the Ultimate Collectors series and is added to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the brand's partnership with the movie franchise. It includes a display stand with an information plate and 2 imperial minifigures.

once fully built, the Imperial Star Destroyer measures more than 44 cm high, 110 cm long and 66 cm wide, and more than 37 cm tall without support. it's the biggest thematic set of star wars to date and it only contains a few less pieces than the huge collection of Ultimate Falcon collectors of the Millennium, consisting of 7,541 bricks.
