Rogue Company, from Hi-Rez Studios, will offer 60fps gameplay and a crossover game between PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch when released in 2020.
Hi-Rez Studios has made a name for itself in the multiplayer scene with games like SMITE and Paladins: Kingdom Champions. Today, during a Nintendo Direct, they unveiled a new multiplayer IP address: Rogue company. The game is a third person shooter, and it will be released for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in 2020.
Developed with First Watch Games, Rogue Company actually sets rather ambitious goals. It aims to operate at 60 frames / s everywhere, and will even include a crossover game on launch day on all platforms. Chris Larson, head of video game studios at Hi-Rez, explains, "We believe that it's essential to connect all players through the excitement of the video game. From the first day we built Rogue Company to be a multiplatform game with crossplay. We want all our players to play with their friends, whatever their platform. "
Regarding the world in which it is defined, the game follows the "Elite Mercenary Syndicate", while players choose their favorite and complete various PvP matches. Hi-Rez and First Watch Games are already planning a ton of post-launch support for Rogue Company. Creative Director Scott Zier has revealed that "new game modes, cards, weapons, gadgets, gambling events and playable mercenaries" are already being planned.
While it remains to be seen whether the game will take off, it is clear that Hi-Rez Studios is putting a lot behind this new game. You can check out its first screen shots below. Rogue Company will arrive in 2020 on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4 and Xbox One, although alpha entries are available on the game's website.
