On Friday, during the "First Call", we will see a moment of family reunion that marked the history of Major League Baseball at PNC Park. Austin Meadows stays hot for Tampa. And a contract situation to watch in the NHL.
Several morans
Brother, can you spare a strike?
Pirates field player Colin Moran faced his brother Brian, a Florida Marlins pitcher, on Thursday night.
From the court to the big ones.
Moran vs Moran

Brian had Colin dam.
At age 30, it was the start of the major leagues for Brian. Colin is 26 years old. The exchange has done a little history.
With Colin and Brian Moran tied at the moment, it's the first time since 1900 that a brother faces his brother or sister during his major league debut in a pitcher-versus-drummer scenario (or l & # 39; 39; reverse).

Brian eventually eliminated his younger brother and took the win, scoring a fourth clear round. Colin went 2 for 4 with a pair of doubles.
The Marlins won 10-7.
Speaking of history
We had our first pass interference challenge for the regular season on Thursday night.
I know. Obviously, you will remember where you were when you saw it live. Pretty amazing.
At the beginning of the fourth quarter, Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky turned right and hit receiver Taylor Gabriel on the sidelines for 15 yards.
The Packers coach, Matt LaFleur, thought Gabriel had been repelled by defensive back Jaire Alexander.
The video officials disagreed and no appeal was confirmed in the field.
This sentence seemed odd to me to write in the first place. But that's what happened.
You can judge for yourself here.
Unfortunately, this is one of the most exciting moments of the game when the Packers won a 10-3 snooze festival.
Meadows is grinding
The hot September of Austin Meadows continues.
The former pick of the first round of the Pirates was again resumed Thursday in Toronto.

The spokes won the match 6-4. Tampa are currently the best AHL wild card team, with a half-game lead over Oakland and a Cleveland match lead.
Meadows beats 1,353 in its first five games in September. He has already returned three times this month. The outfielder has 27 homers and 75 RBIs for the season.
Meanwhile, Chris Archer – whom the Pirates have acquired for Meadows and others – is 3-9 with a 5.10 EOE.
Points for creativity
Check out this move to get a safe call to third base in that same match.

It was a heckuva from Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of Toronto to win a triple. It was certainly a more gracious moment in third place than the Tigers base coach – and former Pirate – Dave Clark.

Hey, footwork has never been Clark's most powerful attribute.
Torey's interviews
Torey Krug's contractual talks are progressing slowly.
In fact, he tells NHL.com that they are "non-existent".
Krug helped a lot with the Boston Bruins who reached the Stanley Cup final last year. He was second among NHL defensemen in the playoffs with 18 points (six goals, 12 assists) in 24 games.
The 28-year-old enters the final season of his $ 21 million four-year contract. He has the right to sign an extension since July 1 and can become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 2020.
