A hike not for sensitive souls
Cables are only run from May to October due to weather conditions and a permit is required for trekking.
Since only 300 hikers are allowed to climb per day, when cables are used, licenses are based on a pre-season lottery and daily lottery applications. 75 of the 300 hiking sites are reserved for backpackers and those who spend the night on the trail.
