The Cyberpunk 2077 will become a gigantic and gigantic RPG when it arrives on PlayStation 4 next April. One of the things we always like to hear about before launch is the design of the quest. We are always wondering what to do outside the box, and it seems that V has a lot of different objectives to fulfill. The next Projekt Red CD project includes four different types of quests that will make you do all kinds of things in Night City.
In an interview on the developer forums with Philipp Weber, lead quest designer, it is explained how the game will tackle a variety of mission types. Divide into four different categories – main missions, side quests, street stories and minor quests – each mission you accept will be handcrafted.
Weber says, "For us, quality is always more important than quantity and we simply can not provide that quality with modules that we assemble in different ways to create these random quests. We do not just want to occupy people, but in reality give them something to do that is worthwhile. "While the main missions and side quests are quite explicit, these are the street stories on which Philipp Weber puts the emphasis.
Street stories are the daily bread of a street merchant like V, much like monsters looking for a witcher like Geralt. These are the jobs that V gets from repairers like Dexter DeShawn, and these jobs give him more credibility in the street, which allows him to make a reputation throughout the city. These jobs can be very varied and, of course, also take advantage of our different styles of play. So there are often many creative solutions to solve them.
It seems that Cyberpunk 2077 will offer a lot of things to do outside of its main quest – something we are passionate about. Let's explore all the strange and wonderful optional tasks we'll discover in the darkest corners of Night City. Are you so excited? Take a speech test in the comments below.
