New York Jets midfielder Le Veon Bell suffered an MRI on Thursday while he continued to suffer from shoulder pain. That made him miss Thursday's training as the team gets ready to face the Cleveland Browns on Monday night at the home opener. According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, MRI did not reveal any major damage or tear to Bell's shoulder. The test was in fact a precautionary measure.
Gase seemed optimistic that the shoulder situation was not too serious before Bell embarked on MRI.
"I'm really not sure," Gase said about Bell's status for Monday night and the extent of his shoulder injury, citing that they would know more once L & R MRI performed. "It could be just pain, we do not think it's worse than that, but we're probably just a little more cautious."
Bell, who signed a $ 52.5 million four-year contract with the Jets during the off season, rushed 17 times in the opening game against Buffalo for 60 yards. He also caught six of his nine goals for 32 yards and one touchdown.
