James Gunn says, "Do not tie yourself too much." The screenwriter / director behind the very successful Guardians of the Galaxy movies takes its first shot at a DC property with The suicide brigade. This smooth restart / reboot will bring its unique talents to WB and DC and usher in a new era of corporate movies. Now, Gunn has released a complete list of the cast, but from his disturbing caption, he plans to take the "suicide" part of the team very seriously, and not everyone knows it.
As you can see from the 24 names in the list, there are many names that come back from the original movie. Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Margot Robbie and Jai Courtney take back their roles from the first film. Idris Alba was one of the only confirmed castings for the film previously, and it is doubly confirmed now. And the alleged actors, John Cena, Pete Davidson, Taika Waititi, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn and Nathan Fillon have all been confirmed. There are also a lot of surprise castings, like Storm Reid and JoaquIn CosIo.
No character names are yet attached to these actors, except those who take up their roles, but this cast raises even more hope in this film. Fans were already keen to see Gunn take the property, although his trip to DC was marked by controversy. Gunn was fired by Disney after a dozen tweets resurfacing inappropriate jokes.
