Goalkeeper hopes entering the 2019-2020 season – The Athletic

The following are my top NHL goaltending standings as a conclusion to the summer series that examines the talent of each NHL organization. This is a ranking of all the goaltenders' hopes that I think will become full-time NHL players. I've ranked the best skaters separately.

Here, I reintroduce tools on grades 20 to 80 that were not present in the farm rankings. On this scale, 50 projects on average, 55 above average, 60 in the first third, 70 in the elite and 80 among the best; 45 is below average and 40 at higher quality.

Levels and analysis have not changed much compared to what I wrote in the team standings this summer, with slight changes to account for the games played last month, in NHL camps and pre-season abroad.

The previous ranking refers to how I ranked the outlook at the beginning of the 2018-2019 season, because I think it's better comparable to the mid-season rankings.

Very good NHL …
