The latest installment of the iconic series features a brain controlling zombies to four cooperating players in a survival horror game.
Gameplay for Resistance Project, the newest addition to the resident Evil the universe, was unveiled by Capcom at the Tokyo Game Show this week.
Capcom describes the game as an asymmetrical online horror experience "1 vs. 4" in the world of resident Evil"It focuses on a brain controlling zombies against four cooperating players in a survival horror game.
The player who controls the brain follows the survivors on security cameras and can summon zombies and other monsters to attack them. Cooperating players take control of one of four survivors: two fighters, a healer or a technology expert.
Producer Masachika Kawata presented the biggest game show in Asia, with more than 650 exhibiting companies at the Makuhari Messe convention center, north of Tokyo. Capcom is collaborating on development with the Taiwanese group NeoBards Entertainment, a specialist in online gaming, whose CEO Jean-Marc Morel has also made an appearance.
