Tesla's "Joe Mode" in its V10 update is a lifeline for parents

Tesla owners traveling with kids can breathe a sigh of relief thanks to the electric car manufacturer's V10 update, as the company introduced a new feature called "Joe Mode". This new feature will allow drivers to reduce the volume of alerts and prompts that are incurred while the vehicle is in motion.

Tesla chief executive Elon Musk announced some details about the V10's "Joe Mode" earlier this year, while responding to the many adepts who speculated on the new features that will be updated. While one of the followers was asking for a mode that would help keep his kids asleep during round trips, Musk responded by introducing introductory information about the V10 feature.

The addition of "Joe Mode", although apparently minor, will probably be a welcome feature of parents, especially those who regularly travel with their children. Any parent can attest that keeping children asleep during car trips is an exercise in patience and silence and that loud noises in the cabin could easily wake up children. This is especially true if parents are traveling with babies or young children, who could easily make night driving very stressful when they are awake and restless.

We do not know who Joe is or why he was at the root of a way that kids and adult passengers would not be bothered by warning noises, but Musk proved once again that Tesla is adapting the needs of their owners. Parents around the world will be able to halve the volume of all warning noises that inform drivers of upcoming maneuvers, including lane changes in the autopilot system. Owners can turn on Joe Mode by going to Orders> Security and Safety> Joe Mode.

In addition to the "Joe Mode", the V10 Update will also feature new entertainment options, such as "Theater Mode", as well as enhancements for the recognition of traffic signs and traffic lights, the Autopilot on Highway and the Smart Summon system. "Cinema Mode" will allow a parked Tesla to stream video from YouTube and Netflix. In conjunction with a large dashboard and surround speakers, viewers will get one of the best movie viewing experiences inside a world car.
