The San Francisco 49ers went to Cincinnati and took care of the Bengals with an impressive 41-17 victory. The team starts the year with two consecutive victories on the road.
The San Francisco 49ers proved too difficult to handle for the Cincinnati Bengals after the kickoff of the second day of play, after an unhinged 41-17 victory at Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday. The Niners dominated all phases of the match. The team starts with a 2-0 record on the road for the first time since 1989.
The 49ers attack exploded more than 300 yards in the air and 259 yards rushing for an impressive 572 yards against the Bengal defense.
Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo threw for 297 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Matt Breida led the fast attack with 121 yards in just 12 attempts. Rookie wide receiver Deebo Samuel led the Niners' pass captains with 87 yards and a touchdown for five catches.
The Niners' defense limited the Bengals to 25 meters on the ground. They exerted constant pressure on opposing quarterback Andy Dalton, who sent him off four times. Linebacker Kwon Alexander has handed over the ejection of the last game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with an interception and six tackles against Cincinnati.
