The Death Stranding game shows Norman Reedus eating bugs, jabbing and personalizing material.

Even more Death Stranding gameplay was shown at the closing of the Tokyo Game Show 2019, and this time we had a visit to the Safe House, and things got a little weird … again. The most important thing to remember is that Norman Reedus will hit you in the face if you look too long at his crotch, because of course he will. But the gameplay also gave us a glimpse of some other features such as customization options and … the ability to eat insects that float in a jar.

The security zone we discover will become a small private place where you will spend your time between missions. I guess Sam (aka Reedus) needs to pause between everything that works, after all. Hideo Kojima reviewed the features of the Safe House and showed Sam while he was doing silly things in front of a mirror and taking selfies. Whether it's hitting his face or pulling his tongue, it looks like you can piss Sam in more ways … well, actually, pissing.

This area also seems to be the perfect place to customize all your equipment. Kojima showed the different color options of Sam's backpack, while changing the shade of the hat that he can wear when he walks in nature. You can also access your weapons in this area and ask Reedus to try his sunglasses to add even more freshness to your indoor shenanigans.

In the secure house, Sam can also interact with BB, who seems to mimic everything Sam does. You can also take a shower when Sam is a little dirty, as a result of his nature getaways, check a map for main missions, read the mail and use a music player. Oh, and of course, you can make him eat strange floating insects. As nutritious as I am, they are a little … repulsive.

The game ends when Sam goes out into the nature to take a mud bath with his new look, and just before we see Mads Mikkelsen's character, Cliff, grilling with a glass of champions from the point of view of BB. With the pee, the bath, and now eat insects and messing around in the mirror, the gameplay of Death Stranding continues to surprise us. Who knows what else we will do when it comes out on November 8, 2019.
