Later this week, Huawei will announce its new Mate30 device series. Like Apple, Samsung and Google in the near future, Huawei is rearranging its smartphones before the Christmas shopping season.
The images, coming from Evan Blass, shows the Mate 30 Pro, Mate 30 Porsche Design, Mate 30 and Mate 30 Lite models. At this point, modern smartphones are starting to blend in with a curved "cascading" style screen and, for budget-conscious phones, a nearly full front screen with fewer cameras and fewer processors.
That being said, these phones look like strong opponents in their marketing images and one thing is clear: Huawei has found a better way to bundle four cameras than Apple did with the iPhone Pro. Although it's a personal taste, I find that these devices (and even the future Pixel 4 of Samsung or Google) have a much better camera layout than that created by Apple.
The Mate 30 Pro also brings back memories of the Lumia 1020 with its large photo disk on the back of the camera.
The phones will be officially announced this week, but with US sanctions weighing on the company, seeing how the company will solve these problems will probably be the biggest conversation that technology or the actual design.
