The court records show that a Wisconsin man accused of leading a massive vaping operation with his brother faces numerous drug charges.
Tyler Huffhines, 20, was charged with possession of THC on Monday with the intention of distributing it, while maintaining a space for drug trafficking and other crimes, according to the archives.
He did not introduce a plea.
His brother, Jacob Huffhines, was charged with possession of cocaine and a firearm.
The two brothers 'lawyers did not respond to requests for comment on Monday, but Tyler Huffhines' lawyer, Mark Richards, told the court on Monday that his client "did not get caught killing anyone." He did not get caught by anyone, but that's what they want you to believe.
According to court documents released Monday, Huffhines reportedly directed the operation in a condo located in the village of Bristol, south of Milwaukee, according to the NBC WTMJ affiliate.
The documents indicate that authorities seized 31,200 vape cartridges each containing one gram of THC, as well as 98,000 empty cartridges and 57 jars containing more than 1,600 ounces of liquid THC, depending on the station.
The authorities claimed that Mr. Huffhines had employed 10 people for two years to manufacture and sell thousands of counterfeit cartridges daily. The cartridges sold for $ 16, prosecutors said.
Huffhines reportedly told the police that he had reinvested all the proceeds in his operation.
"You invest more, you earn more," quote the cited documents, according to WTMJ. "No risk, no reward."
Huffhines and his brother Jacob Huffhines, 23, were arrested this month after officials said they went to California to buy dozens of THC jars for $ 300,000, WTMJ reported.
The minutes show that Jacob Huffhines, charged with possession of cocaine and a firearm, was detained instead of a $ 50,000 bail.
Tyler Huffhines was detained instead of a $ 500,000 bond.

The charges come as health authorities across the country have linked seven deaths and hundreds of lung diseases to a vaping, the latest on Monday in California.
In a press release, Tulare County officials attributed the death to "serious pulmonary lesions linked to vaping".
The Wisconsin authorities have not reported any deaths related to vaping.
Although it is unclear what lies behind this disease, New York State authorities have focused on vitamin E acetate. The state health department said it discovered high levels of supplement in vaping products containing cannabis.
Last week, the White House announced its intention to ban the sale of e-cigarettes without tobacco flavor during this period of vaping.
And on Sunday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that he was considering limiting the sale of flavored electronic cigarettes to young people.
