Google Nest brand change stickers arrive on cameras, thermostats

Instead of introducing new boxes right away, the new Google Nest brand has been extended to retail packaging via stickers. After Nest Hub and Hello, these markers now appear on Nest Cams and Thermostats.

Last month, we spotted stickers announcing the Google Nest brand change unveiled at I / O 2019 on Nest Hello boxes. This happened shortly after we spotted the old "Nest" logo replaced with the smart video doorbell by the Google Store "G".

This weekend, a visit to a local Best Buy revealed that new Google Nest product brands were replacing old ones that featured the smart wordmark "n" in lowercase letters. We see again the updated Hello Nest with just the "G" mark. This logo is in the upper left corner, but we have not seen it on a Hello demo unit or even on the floor.

In the meantime, we've just seen the gray "Nest is now Google Nest. Welcome to the useful house. "g.co/nest" stickers on the Nest Learning Thermostat, Nest Cam, Nest Cam IQ Indoor and Nest Cam IQ Outdoor.

The presence of stickers on Dropcam period Nest cams is interesting given rumors that a replacement could be introduced this year. They have been affixed to single and triple packs.

The new connected home products that will arrive next month at Made by Google 2019 should have a new packaging, just like the Nest Hub Max. We do not know when Google will change the packaging of existing products for the classic Hub, which probably has a long life. For devices such as Google Home, it makes sense that the company is just waiting for new products.
