A PACKED plane had to land urgently when one of the passengers claimed that he was under cocaine before triggering a SEAL in the cabin.
The unexpected landing took place aboard an American Airlines jet connecting Phoenix to Minneapolis, after the pilot had been warned of an urgent "safety problem" on board.
The emergency flight was triggered when the passenger threw a tantrum and would have started telling others that he was under the influence of drugs.
The man then lifted from his seat and locked himself in the toilet.
The flight attendants tried to convince him, but it did not appear until ten minutes later, just when the jet landed.
After landing, the unidentified man lit his seal and was promptly arrested by police who had boarded the flight and attached him to a stretcher.
He would then have been heard screaming, "Get off, it hurts, I'll kill you!"
The Denver Police Department said their agents had determined that the problem was "of a medical nature," adding that the man had subsequently been taken to the hospital.
His current medical condition is unclear and it is unclear whether he will be prosecuted in any way after the bizarre incident.
American Airlines said: "The 2408 flight was diverted because of a disruptive passenger. The security forces encountered the theft and the plane re-departed."
