A Florida grandmother is livid after her 6-year-old granddaughter was arrested and charged with murder after launching a "temper tantrum" in the classroom.
Meralyn Kirkland said that the incident of her granddaughter Kaia had started in her school, Lucious and Emma Nixon Elementary School.
"[I said] What do you mean that she was arrested? He said: "There was an incident and she kicked someone in. She is charged and she goes away," Kirkland told WFLA. "She has a health problem that we are working on to solve it. So, he says, "What medical condition?" I said, "She has trouble sleeping, sleep apnea," and he replied, "Well, I have sleep apnea and I do not behave not like this."
The grandmother also revealed that her granddaughter had been handcuffed, fingerprinted and taken a mugshot.
"No 6-year-old should be able to tell someone that he was handcuffed and that he was behind a police car and taken to a detention center." juvenile detention to take fingerprints, "she said.
