Pokemon Sword Shield: Accidental Chain Leaks

A new Japanese Pokemon website has launched a new leak potentially on the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Shield game.

The new website will add a Pokemon Dynamaxed to any image uploaded at random. This revealed that some Pokémon that were not yet confirmed appeared in the Galar region.

As noted on PokeCommunity, sites such as Aegislash, Ribombee and Sableye have been seen in the images produced by the website – and for those who need it, the site is official.

This is not all we have learned about the new Pokemon game, which will be released on November 15th. A Pokemon fan on Twitter, abcboy101I took a look at the code behind the site.

The code that the curious fan has found relates to the code names that the website uses to identify Pokemon. This is very telling for two reasons: firstly, the code used is very descriptive, as you can see below, and secondly, the number used at the end of each description seems to relate to its stage. ;evolution.

For example, Grookey's code is "Gorilla1", which suggests that it is a gorilla – and perhaps even reveals what can be expected from its evolution – and that this is the first evolution.

The Corviknight code, which is "Gcommondori3", is even more surprising, suggesting that the Pokémon on the fly has two evolutions.

We can also see that Alcremie, Polteageist and Drednaw may also have earlier evolutions.

This is not a confirmation however, it is simply used code names that do not officially have any meaning. We will have to wait for more information from Pokemon Sword and Shield before we can be sure, but they are nonetheless very interesting.
