Yahoo's new Mail app aims to put your inbox in order.

The main way to do this is to group emails into "Views" with categories such as Offers, Travel, Subscriptions and Attachments, all of which are treated very differently. This is conceptually similar to the Gmail tabs. In Yahoo Mail's Travel View, for example, you'll see all upcoming flight and hotel itineraries, as well as trips already made and associated emails (like in Google's inbox).

In the Subscriptions tab, you can see all your mailing lists or newsletters to which you have subscribed, with the ability to unsubscribe from any of them at the touch of a button, all in one place. 39; application. One of my favorites is the Attachments view, which groups all your various documents, whether it's event tickets or photos, into an easy-to-navigate folder.

If you are a frequent buyer, you might like the Offers View, which turns all of your promotional emails into an online shopping portal. It lists the top and recommended brands based on your habits and preferences, and even lists nearby offers in a Location tab (currently for iOS users only). You can even filter coupons and be notified of offers before they expire. The grocery view works the same way except that you can even use it to create a shopping list. This will also consider the loyalty cards you may have with a participating store.

In addition to this, Yahoo's new email also has an "Active Update" feature. According to the information extracted from your emails, it will automatically place punctual updates at the top of your inbox, whether it's tracking parcels or flight delays.

In addition to the organization, the new Yahoo Mail interface has also been redesigned to better accommodate larger phone screens. Previously, the "hamburger" menu icon was located in the upper left corner, which was a little hard to reach with one hand. Now, a customizable navigation bar is located at the bottom of the screen, which is much easier to access. You can also customize push notifications to find out when a large email arrives in your inbox.

As before, you do not need to use Yahoo Mail to use the application. it is compatible with all types of email accounts such as Gmail or Outlook from Microsoft.

The new Yahoo Mail app will arrive on iOS and Android from September 23rd.
