It's been six months since the singer / actress / entrepreneur gave birth to her third child, her daughter Birdie Mae Johnson, and Mrs. Simpson said that she had spent that time working hard.

She recently posted a photo of her on her official Instagram account, showing her weight loss of 100 pounds.

In it, Simpson is dressed in black and wears a belt that emphasizes her size. It is accessorized with large shades and a handbag.

"6 months, 100 pounds (yes, I shifted the scale to 240)," reads the legend. "My first trip away from #BIRDIEMAE and emotional for many reasons, but so proud to feel myself again, even when it seemed impossible, I chose to work harder."

Simpson has had well-documented struggles with weight in the past and even once had an agreement as a celebrity spokesperson for Weight Watchers. The company is now known as WW or Weight Watchers Reimagined.

Simpson and her husband, former NFL player Eric Johnson, are also parents of their son Ace and their daughter Maxwell.
