Rivian and Amazon are finding more and more ways to collaborate with the R1T electric pickup with Alexa support, as has demonstrated an Amazon event today.
In February, Rivian received $ 700 million in funding from Amazon. At the time, they were discussing opportunities to work together.
Last week, we learned of the first major opportunity that has turned into a multi-billion dollar contract for Rivian's construction of 100,000 electric utility vehicles for Amazon.
It will be a major long-term project, but Rivian remains focused on its passenger cars, the R1T electric pickup and the R1S electric SUV.
It now seems that Amazon will also be involved in these Rivian vehicles to a certain extent.
Today, during the demonstration of Amazon products, the company presented a prototype Rivian R1T and showed that it had an integration of voice commands Alexa.
He can do things like open the trunk before Rivian R1T:

They also announced the integration of Alexa in many other vehicles, including the integration of GM into millions of cars, but we are more interested in the integration in electric vehicles .
We have already seen the integration of Alexa on other electric vehicles, including Tesla vehicles, but it was via a third-party Juicebox charging station.
Amazon is increasingly involved in electric vehicles through the sale and installation of electric vehicle charging stations.
Through their services Amazon Home Services, they have established a network of licensed electricians with whom you can schedule the installation of a charging station directly via Amazon.
Some manufacturers, like Audi and Kia, even use Amazon exclusively for their home-charging solutions for their electric vehicles in the United States.
As their relationships tighten, we would not be surprised to see Rivian added to the list of R1T and RS1 going into production next year.
The Rivian R1T will start at $ 69,000 before incentives in the US and can be equipped with a battery configuration of up to 180 kWh for a range of 400 km on a single charge.
