After landing on the IR with torn ankle ligaments, Vikings wide catcher, Chad Beebe, will be out for eight weeks.
Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said on Wednesday that the team thought Beebe would be able to return to the field after that.
"Yes, he should be," Zimmer said.
To fill Beebe's position as long-distance receiver, the Vikings recalled former first-round pick Laquon Treadwell, who did not match the 53-man squad to open the season.
Marcus Sherels was signed by the Vikings to take the place of Beebe at the return of the kicks. Sherels spent the 2010-18 season with the Vikings, but Sherels signed with the Saints this season.
