After receiving a second opinion, the Giants' half-back, Saquon Barkley, chose to return to his tradition.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL network, Barkley returned from his second opinion with Dr. Robert Anderson with a recommendation of absence of surgery.

Apparently, one of the considerations was the so-called "tightrope operation", which the Alabama quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, suffered last year.

In this procedure, a high-strength suture is inserted to secure the lower leg bones in place. Tagovailoa came back from a high ankle sprain after four weeks to play the national championship game last year after the procedure.

Barkley should miss more than a month after being injured last week against the Buccaneers.
