Microsoft allows the Google Assistant to work with its Xbox One console. Just like the existing Alexa integration, Microsoft allows Google Assistant to launch games and applications, turn on and off the console, pause videos, and more. To control an Xbox One, you must use the Google Assistant app for iOS or Android or a device such as Google Home with Assistant. Google Assistant does not work on the Xbox One itself; instead, it will receive commands from other devices running the wizard.
You must also join a Google Group to access Google Assistant Support for Xbox One. You can activate it through the Google Home app for iOS or Android by setting up a new device and searching for "[beta] Xbox "in the list. Xbox owners will be able to assign a name to their console in Google Assistant, allowing orders like "Hey Google, turn on Xbox".
Microsoft began by launching this public beta release in the coming weeks, and the company is releasing a FAQ and full setup instructions on Reddit.
