Take this, babies!
It seems that most travelers prefer not to sit next to a baby when they are flying. Nowadays, an airline helps its customers not to get stuck in this situation.
Customers traveling on Japan Airlines have noticed a unique feature in the booking process. Like most other airlines, the seat selection map shows locations already taken. Unlike others, however, it indicates those reserved for children 2 years and under.

The seating table has an image of a baby's face marked on a child's seat, a traveler explained on Twitter.
The Japan Airlines website describes the placement process of children's seats as follows: "Passengers traveling with children between the ages of 8 days and 2 years who choose their seat on the JAL website will see a child icon. on their seat at the seat selection screen. This allows other passengers to know that a child may be sitting there.

The website however states that there are several situations in which the icon of the child may not show up. If a ticket is purchased via another website or is part of a tour or rewards program, the icon may not display. Likewise, if the aircraft is changed before the flight, the icons "may not display correctly".
On Twitter, some users have praised this option. A reply simply said, "It's awesome."

However, other users wanted to remind other travelers that babies could not help crying. As an user Express it: "As a father of 5 children and having traveled with each of them at one time or another, I try to do everything in my power to stop them from crying. It's hard for parents too. And remember: it's just a day. You will survive your flight. Cooling."
