Hillary Rodham Clinton: Trump is a "corrupt human tornado," said the former secretary of state in an exclusive interview

Former state secretary and Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton, calls President Trump a "threat" to the country's position in the world and "corrupt human tornado" in an interview with Jane Pauley for the CBS Sunday Morning broadcast on September 29th.

In an extensive interview with Clinton and his daughter, Chelsea, about their new book, Clinton discusses the question of the removal of President Trump; the potential of re-election of the president; his loss in the 2016 election; and his life today.

Speaking to Pauley earlier this week, a few hours before Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, announced her call for an imputation investigation against Mr. TrumpClinton also suggested investigating the president's actions.

"My view is that, given the latest revelation, which constitutes such a blatant effort to use his presidential position in order to defend his personal and political interests, an indictment investigation should be opened," he said. Clinton. "And I think, unfortunately, that there are several reasons, but this one is incredibly disturbing.

"The most falsely scandalous things have been said about me, and unfortunately enough people have believed them, so it is an effort to sow these lies against [Vice President Joe] Biden. And I do not care if you are for the [Democrats] or you are a Republican, when the President of the United States, who has been sworn to protect and defend the Constitution, uses his position to extort a foreign government for political ends. I think that's really what worries the founders in their "crimes and serious crimes".

Will it be more difficult for a woman to be elected president now? Pauley asked Clinton.

"Well, I hope not, and I do not think so – because the goal is to nominate the most powerful candidate to defeat Donald Trump," Clinton replied. "Because Donald Trump currently represents a direct threat, a clear and present danger to our government's institutions, to the rule of law and to our reputation in the world."

Clinton also tells Pauley that she does not believe that Trump will be re-elected for a second term.

"Look, there were a lot of fun things that happened in my election that will not happen again," she said. "And I hope the public and the press will understand how Trump plays the game."

She asked her if she was upset that none of the current presidential candidates mention her name during the election campaign, and that President Trump continues to say that she should be "locked up", Clinton answered no.

"No, it does not kill me because he knows that he is an illegitimate president.I believe he understands that the many varied tactics used – from the repression and the purge of voters to the computer hacking, going through the fake stories – he knows that there were many why the elections went as planned, "she said.

"You know, Jane was like applying for a job, getting 66 million letters of recommendation and losing to a corrupt human tornado," Clinton said. "And then, I know that he knows it was not at the level, I do not know if we'll ever know what happened."

Clinton and her daughter have written a new book called "The Gutsy Women's Book", which highlights the lives of women in history who have made a difference, ranging from swimmer Diana Nyad to Harriet Tubman. (It was published by Simon & Schuster, a division of CBS.)

Clinton and her daughter talk with Pauley about the book and the women they have chosen to showcase, as well as about the life of the former presidential candidate.

"I'm answering that question by saying, personally, that I'm fine and that my grandchildren, and especially my new two-month-old grandson, is an unparalleled gift," Clinton said. "Personally, I feel blessed, I feel good.

"But I can not deny that much of myself cares deeply about what is happening in the country, and what I fear is the damage done: the damage to our future, the damage done to our values, our so i think about it a lot and i'm trying to find ways to help people who are in the front line of the fight. "
