This week saw the launch of Play Pass and the dark theme that begins to unfold. Some users are having a Google Play bug tonight that prevents them from updating their Android apps.
The "Updates" tab of "My Apps & Games" displays "No Updates Available" for multiple users this afternoon. The list of updates of the last days has disappeared to leave only a blank page. Pressing the green reload button does not change anything, although Play Protect seems to work and performs a scan at the prompt.
If you go to the "Installed" tab, you get the same empty list. Google Play ignores everything that's currently on your device. The "Free Space" tool does not work either because of the Play Store Updates bug. Strangely, the "Library" and "Beta" tabs work.
Deleting and storing Recents multitasking from the Google Play Store from Recents worked for some users, but not for everyone. Other features of the store, such as browsing, searching and installing new applications, are still operational.
In our tests, a Pixel 3 and a Pixel 2 XL under Android 10 have encountered this bug of the Play Store updates. A server-side fix will likely fix the problem during the new hours.
