Fortnite season 10: the new Combine LTM, Starry Suburbs and its double XP weekend!

Season 10 of Fortnite, also called Season X, is live. The new season does not yet show the dramatic changes seen in previous seasons, but it seems that the island will be changing rapidly until the start of season 11, which could take place in October.

Before the end of season 10, Epic will give players a chance to catch up on a double XP weekend. Starting Sept. 27 at 9:00 am ET / 6:00 am GMT, experience points (XP) earned during a match will be doubled to help unlock more game content.

Season 10 preview

The biggest change in Fortnite Season 10 is a two-player mech called the brute. The robot acts as a vehicle, a player controlling his movements, the other being able to use his weapons, which include a shotgun and a missile launcher. Players can also use the mech's Overshield capability, which consumes 200 materials of any type.

The 10.10 update also includes a modification of the Brute, the new mech added in Season 10, which many players oppose. As previously reported by Epic, the robot will have a laser targeting added to help other players recognize when they are in danger. There were also several changes of when and how often the Brute breeds. The Mechs will appear more often earlier in the game and as the storm circle gets closer, the chances of a Brute appear diminish.

Epic has added a new disposable called Junk Rift in the content update of August 20, v10.10. The trailer of the article presents it as a new tool to remove a Brute.

Epic has not specified when this new Batman event will take place, but September 21 is Batman Day, which would be a suitable date to kick off the debate.

A notable update to the v10.31 update that Epic has developed is the party hub feature for mobile drives.
