RUdy Giuliani claimed that he was the real whistleblower after discovering the alleged corruption allegedly perpetrated by the family of former Vice President Joe Biden.
"I think that they should congratulate me, because there had not been for me anybody would have discovered and coped with the massive corruption of the [former] Vice President of the United States, "Giuliani told Fox News Thursday, citing rumors that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo would be" unhappy "with him.
"In fact, I am a legitimate whistleblower," continued the president's personal attorney. "I've discovered the corruption that this Washington Marsh has been effectively covering for years and its state department, you know, asked me to do it."
"So, Mike, if you're not happy with me, I'm sorry, I've accomplished my mission," joked Giuliani to the secretary of state.
Giuliani's comments came as he defended his decision to talk to Ukrainian officials about Biden's alleged corruption. Democrats in the House opened an impeachment investigation against Trump over the case, alleging that the president had used his office to gather dust on the leader of the 2020 Democratic group.
Giuliani and the Trump administration claim that it is Biden who was corrupt and that they are simply trying to denounce his corruption.
The president had called the Ukrainian president and asked him to open an investigation to determine whether Biden had dismissed the highest prosecutor of Ukraine for investigating his son, Hunter. Democrats say Trump had toughened Ukrainians by threatening to suspend military aid.
