DoorDash, a meal delivery service, said Thursday that there had been data breach and that information relating to 4.9 million customers, delivery men and restaurants may have been leaked.

The data was accessed by an unauthorized third-party service provider on May 4, the company said on a blog.

The last four digits of the payment cards for some consumers and the last four digits of the bank account numbers of some delivery agents and restaurants may have been disclosed.

The data may also include profile information such as names, e-mail addresses, delivery addresses, phone numbers, as well as driver's license numbers from nearly 100,000 distribution managers.

The San Francisco-based company learned the existence of the breach earlier this month and said it was investigating the incident. Users who joined after April 5, 2018 were not affected, said DoorDash.
