While we haven’t seen the upcoming 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class yet, we now have a better idea of what its interior will look like. It does not disappoint.

The S-Class is Mercedes’ most executive model. It is the majestic sedan that is better to drive than to drive yourself. We already know that the seventh generation, which will be unveiled later this year, will have up to five screens inside: two in the front and up to three in the rear.

The new interior will have “an elegant lightness” and “living room features,” according to a press release on Wednesday. Mercedes sees it as a “third place”, or the “refuge between home and workplace”. But given that we’re all currently stuck in a global pandemic, the car could end up in ‘second place’.

Mercedes says it took a lot of inspiration from yacht design elements. There will be a lot of open pore wood veneers and real aluminum inlays.
