In case we need more proof that President Donald Trump really doesn’t like TikTok, here’s the latest: Trump and his team have created a verified account on TikTok’s rival Triller and are apparently trying to figure out how video-sharing apps work.
he appears that Trump’s account was created on Saturday, a day after Trump extended the deadline for Bytedance, the Chinese of TikTok owner, for sale its activities in the United States from 45 to 90 days. On Sunday, Trump’s Triller was around 9.600 followers on Triller and four videos. The account indicates that it is “Brought to you by the Trump team,” which seems to suggest that the president himself is not downloading videos on Triller.
Honestly, I don’t know if he could do better. The videos are just plain bad and confusing, a far cry from the joy and entertainment generated by the content on TikTok, at least in my humble opinion.
Take the first video, for example. For some odd reason, the carefully produced video opens with Trump saying, “I’m a tech pro.” and ends with, “No one can do it like me.” No one.” This too encourages people to follow the president’s account. I mean, I guess the Trump team apparently wanted to make it clear that the president understands tech and no one can do tech like him. But I had to watch the video several times to to have to this conclusion.
G / O Media can get a commission
The other three videos aren’t much better and aren’t as well produced. In one of them, Trump attacks presumptive democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and accuses him of not having a clue (which, let’To be honest, Trump is pretty normal.) There is also deceptive video of Biden in which he seems to say: “I will beat Joe Biden. Look at my file. Nonetheless, Biden never said that, but actually said, “I will to be Joe Biden ”, by PolitiFact. This can be confirmed by analyzing the context of the video.
In another video, Trump says he appreciate the “boaters for Trump”, the groups of his supporters who organize boat parades to show him their support. He adds that if he had time, he would get on one of the boats to join them.
Now, all that being said, is it really any surprise that Trump’s Triller videos make little sense? Not really. It is the same person who confuses and intentionally cheating people with what he says on Twitter and in person, after all.
Triller, which was launched before TikTok, at surged in popularity since Trump started talking about banning TikTok. President has finally signed a decree that will prohibit application if Bytedance born sell its US operations before the deadline. The White House has repeatedly suggested that TikTok may leak US user data to the Chinese government, an allegation TikTok strongly denies.
It’s not TikTok’s only rival on the horizon, however. Instagram is also looking to steal TikTok users, launching Coils in its application in early August. Leave the video sharing app the games start, I guess. Trump’s Triller Videos Got Over Five million views this weekend.
