Final Dallas Cowboys 53-Man Roster Prediction: Offensive Edition ✭

[ad_1]

With training camp practices underway in the league and kicking off for the 2020 NFL season just around the corner, it’s time to take a look at the roster of 53 players. of the Dallas Cowboys. Today we’re going to stick with the offensive side of the ball and try to predict who’s in and who’s out. Let’s go, okay?

Quarterback (3)

Dak Prescott, Andy Dalton, Ben DiNucci (right)

Prescott is the clear starter and Dalton is his main replacement. The only unanswered question is whether or not the Dallas Cowboys carry an additional QB on the active roster. With Prescott and Dalton on a one-year contract and Mike McCarthy’s conviction to develop QBs, this year’s seventh-round pick Ben DiNucci may stand for the time being.

Running Back (2)

Ezekiel Elliott, Tony Pollard

Zeke and Pollard once again offer the Cowboys a formidable RB duo for the 2020 season. With the offseason shortened and Jamize Olawale’s decision to step down this season, there is no other RB or FB worthy of a place in the list in my opinion at the moment.

Wide receiver (6)

Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, CeeDee Lamb (right), Cedrick Wilson, Devin Smith, tbc

The trio of Cooper, Gallup and Lamb have the potential to be something really special, but the depth behind them is murky. Wilson’s versatility in playing indoors or away at WR and his abilities on special teams likely earn him a spot on the list. After Wilson, it’s unknown. The Cowboys probably carry six more WRs, which gives Smith a chance to stay, however, there is no doubt that they will be looking for receivers who can contribute more.

Tight end (3)

Blake Jarwin, Blake Bell, Dalton Schultz

The tight final position could be the weak link or at the very least the biggest question mark for the Dallas Cowboys’ offense heading into the 2020 season. Jarwin will replace Jason Witten as starter with Bell serving as the starter. TE2. Schultz more than likely completes the TE trio. The unknown surrounding this group is a bit scary and as such becomes a bit of a concern.

Offensive tackle (3)

Tyron Smith, La’el Collins, Brandon Knight

No big surprise here. Smith and Collins, arguably the best tackling duo in the league, have once again sealed off the Cowboys’ offensive line. Brandon Knight is likely to become the new swing tackle, however, free agent Cam Erving could fight for that job as well.

Guard (3)

Zack Martin, Connor Williams, Connor McGovern

Martin will no doubt return to RG for the Cowboys in 2020. Williams and McGovern will fight for LG. McGovern could have the advantage right now with Williams still not training due to the ACL injury he suffered at the end of the 2019 season.

Center (3)

Joe Looney, Tyler Biadasz (right), Adam Redmond

Looney is probably the favorite to start right now due to lack of practice time due to the shortened offseason. Biadasz could take over at some point in the season, but for now he will serve as the main replacement. Redmond offers precious depth to the center and to the guard.

Good, you have it now. It’s my personal prediction as to which Dallas Cowboys players will be among the 53 players on the offensive end of the ball. Tune in tomorrow to see who I think makes the defensive cut.
