The A-list event also featured Dane Cook, Morgan Freeman, Henry Golding, Shia LaBeouf and Matthew McConaughey.

The live virtual table read from Fast Times at Ridgemont High just got a boost of star power with the addition of Brad Pitt and Jimmy Kimmel.

In a cast that is sure to spark the interest of celebrities and pop culture watchers, Pitt and Kimmel join previously announced contestants including Jennifer Aniston, Dane Cook, Morgan Freeman, Henry Golding, Shia LaBeouf, Matthew McConaughey, Sean Penn and Julia Roberts for the event. It’s described by organizers as an “unheard of tabletop reading, all is well” from Amy Heckerling’s 1982 film, which just passed her 38th birthday.

The event – titled Dane Cook Presents Feelin ‘A-Live – is now scheduled for August 21 (5 p.m. PST) so as not to conflict with Thursday’s Democratic National Convention.

“Realizing Feelin ‘A-Live was programmed in front of the last night of the DNC, we thought it was better to let the convention have its own night and then we will have ours, “Cook said in response to today’s news.” Fortunately, we were able to tweak some schedules – and add some stellar new cast members – so we’re excited to start your weekend off with a Friday night show. “

Feelin ‘A-Live serves as a fundraiser for Penn’s emergency relief nonprofit and the REFORM Alliance, which focuses on the criminal justice system and protecting the incarcerated population from the spread of COVID-19. It will be posted on Facebook Live and TikTok via CORE official accounts, and via LiveXLive. Executive produced by Cook and Ivan Dudynsky, Feelin ‘A-Live is presented in association with Deviants Media Inc. and JWP, and sponsored by SnackPop.com.
