Predict Georgia Football 2020 scores, fixtures

We now know of Georgia’s 2020 schedule, with the league announcing the full game list on Monday. The Bulldogs will open the season against Arkansas and finish against Vanderbilt. They will have home games against Vanderbilt, Auburn, Tennessee and Mississippi State. The Bulldogs travel to Arkansas, Alabama, Kentucky, Missouri, and South Carolina, while playing Florida in Jacksonville, Florida.

So, with the calendar, why not predict how things will turn out? The Bulldogs are still the favorites to win the SEC East. If they do, it would only be the second time in conference history that a team has won four straight division titles. The SEC Championship game is scheduled for December 19 of this year.

Week 1: in Arkansas

Georgia doesn’t have to wait long to see Sam Pittman again, as the former Georgia offensive line coach will coach against his former employer in his first game as head coach. As Georgia sets off on another offense, the Bulldogs should still win this game easily. The Razorbacks haven’t won an SEC game since 2017. Georgia 45, Arkansas 6

Week 2: vs Auburn

Auburn will be a solid Week 2 test for Georgia’s new offense. But it could be advantageous for Georgia to catch Auburn sooner rather than later. The Tigers will also have a new offensive coordinator in Chad Morris. Factor in having to replace the likes of Derrick Brown and Marlon Davidson on the defensive line, and the Bulldogs should have enough to win a close game. Georgia 24, Auburn 16

Week 3: vs Tennessee

Similar to Auburn, it might be advantageous for Georgia to recruit volunteers at the start of the season rather than November, as originally planned. Having to play what should be a physical Tennessee team a week after Auburn is less than ideal, but the Bulldogs still have the advantage over Tennessee when it comes to talent. And that’s before the volunteers found out Cade Mays wouldn’t be eligible. Georgia 34, Tennessee 13

Week 4: in Alabama

It was always going to be Georgia’s toughest game, whether it was at the start or the end of the season. Bringing him in after two physical competitions in Auburn and Tennessee won’t make this game any easier. With this game being in Tuscaloosa, Ala., We think it might be too hard to ask. But the Bulldogs could get a second chance at Crimson Tide at the end of the season. Alabama 31, Georgia 23

Week 5: in Kentucky

Georgia must be careful here not to let a possible loss to Alabama turn into a second loss. The Wildcats aren’t as talented as Georgia, but they’re going to win Georgia the road. The Wildcats have one of the best offensive lines in the country and Mark Stoops generally has a competent defense. If the Wildcats are able to make former Auburn quarterback Joey Gatewood eligible, it could help make the Wildcats even more difficult. Georgia 31, Kentucky 10

Week 7: vs Florida

The Bulldogs have a well-deserved week’s rest before facing the Gators in a game that could decide the SEC East. Florida appear to have closed the gap in part due to questions about the Georgia offense and the Gators bringing back Kyle Trask. But at this point in the calendar, we should know what Georgia’s offensive is capable of. And Kirby Smart’s defense should be able to do enough to slow Dan Mullen’s offense once again. Week 8: in Missouri

It will likely be Georgia’s first cupcake since the opener against Arkansas. Georgia haven’t lost to Missouri in Columbia, Missouri since the Tigers joined the SEC in 2012. Even with Eliah Drinkwitz now head coach of Missouri, don’t expect that to change in 2020. . Georgia 56, Missouri 14

Week 9: vs. Mississippi State

It will be Georgia’s first home game in six Saturdays. Mike Leach and his passing offensive figure to present an interesting challenge, with transfer quarterback KJ Costello. But the state of Mississippi doesn’t have exactly the players needed to run Leach’s program. He is also at a disadvantage in terms of talent compared to Georgia. Georgia 52, Mississippi 24

Week 10: in South Carolina

It will be a game of revenge for the Bulldogs after what happened in 2019 at Sanford Stadium. The Gamecocks have a few former Bulldogs on staff, head coach Will Muschamp and offensive coordinator Mike Bobo. This game seems to be made for the defenses, but we think Georgia will see their offense determined at this point so that they can rack up enough points to comfortably win. Week 11: vs Vanderbilt

Georgia are ending their schedule with perhaps the worst team they’ll face all season at Vanderbilt. It should be an easy win for the Bulldogs to end the regular season. Georgia 45, Vanderbilt 0
