Cuba Gooding Jr. faces new allegations of sexual assault. The Oscar winner is accused of raping a woman twice in 2013, according to a civil lawsuit filed Tuesday.

The unidentified woman said the incident took place in Gooding’s New York hotel room after meeting the actor in a living room in Greenwich Village. He invited her and the accuser’s friend for a drink at the Mercer Hotel in SoHo, where he was staying, and invited her up to his room, when the two arrived together, so that he can change his clothes.

According to the costume, the woman insisted on leaving the room to meet her friend downstairs once he began to undress in front of her. Gooding allegedly blocked the door, pushed her onto the bed, and touched her inappropriately without her consent.

“The plaintiff was wearing a backless dress that night,” the costume read. “The defendant finished undressing (he was now completely naked) and forcibly and without consent put one hand behind her halter to touch the complainant’s breasts and one hand in her dress.

The lawsuit claims he then allegedly raped the woman vaginally and anal, despite repeated calls for him to stop.

Gooding’s attorney, Mark Jay Heller, has denied the allegations against his client.

“We never received the complaint, but the allegations are completely false and perjury,” he said. Variety. “The allegations that he acted inappropriately in the complaint are completely inappropriate and false.”

The woman is suing Gooding for a “crime of violence” committed on the basis of sex, arguing a complaint under New York’s law to protect victims of gender-based violence. She seeks a jury trial, as well as unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.

Gooding, who won an Oscar for his role in “Jerry Maguire,” already faces six counts of sexual abuse and forced touching. He pleaded not guilty in 2019 to charges of groping three different women in incidents at New York nightclubs the previous year.
