The Sussexes are moving forward with their plans for their new Archewell Foundation. However, the pandemic has slowed things down considerably. There are clues and details starting to emerge that could point to what Harry and Meghan’s next project is.
The first clue is that Harry and Meghan have dropped off Archewell for TV shows and motion pictures.
Earlier this year, Meghan appeared as a narrator in Disney’s nature documentary Elephants. Prince Harry has also collaborated with Oprah Winfrey on a series related to mental health for AppleTV +.
Now, according to Variety, Harry and Meghan are launching a “top secret project” around Hollywood. The couple are said to have had meetings in June with various networks. It is not yet clear whether they are buying a scripted or unscripted series.
Will Meghan Markle return to the theater?
According to an insider, the couple want to become co-producers of their new project. NBCUniversal is one of several media companies that Harry and Meghan bought their idea from.
They met with senior executives at the company, including NBCUniversal Content Studios President Bonnie Hammer. Meghan has known Hammer since her days in the US legal drama Suit.
Prince Harry also made a surprise appearance in Netflix’s new trailer for the documentary Phoenix in resurrection. However, the streaming service has not confirmed having met the royal couple about their “top secret project”.

An insider close to the Duchess says she has “absolutely no intention of acting”. This apparently dismisses the idea of Meghan launching a scripted series with herself in the lead role.
Even though Meghan has previously worked with Disney and Harry with Apple, it is not known whether they presented their project to either of the companies.
Insiders believe Meghan Markle could win a huge sum
According to Express, rumors are still circulating that Meghan will be returning to play now that she lives in Southern California. Bridesmaids Director Paul Feig says everyone in Hollywood wants to work with her.
InterTalent President Professor Jonathan Shalit OBE believes that “Meghan’s power of attraction both in America and globally is phenomenal”. Shalit says that whatever the role, everyone will want to see the Duchess play.
“We’re talking about a $ 50 million fee,” Shalit said. “People are going to be fascinated to see her play at the very beginning. If it comes back to Suit it would be the greatest television series in the world. “
