With Bayern Munich crowned UEFA Champions League winners, Bundesliga talent is sure to attract more attention abroad. A club that already had its eyes wandering towards Germany Are Chelsea and the Blues serious.
After snatching Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund during the 2019 winter transfer window, Chelsea looked with great affection on continental Europe. Earlier this summer, the Premier League club called on former RB Leipzig star Timo Werner to beef up their attack, but Chelsea were not done with Germany yet.

Sport Bild chief Christian Falk initially tweeted his report this morning and – if true – Bayer Leverkusen could end up making € 100m if Havertz helps Chelsea meet all of the performance-oriented incentives contained in the agreement:

Later that day, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed Falk’s report. Romano loses a style point or two for not only ‘tweeting’ Falk with ‘True’, but we’ll let it slip this time:

The Chelsea squad’s planning with Werner and Havertz seems to indicate the club’s seriousness in regaining its past glory, but the London-based club are not stopping to attack Germany. Chelsea would also add Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva on a free transfer. The 35-year-old Champions League finalist has reportedly signed a two-year contract with Chelsea.
