Rehearsals for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” are currently not airing on the popular Australian television channel Nine Network.
A spokesperson for the network confirmed the news in a statement to Fox News on Monday.
“Discussions are underway regarding new episodes of ‘Ellen’,” they said in reference to the show’s upcoming 18th season. We are currently resting Ellen’s rehearsals on Nine and have replaced [them] with “Desperate Housewives,” but if our viewers want their daily “Ellen” fix, reruns will air weekdays on 9Gem. “

Nine Network is one of the most popular broadcasting stations in Australia, home of Ellen DeGeneres’ wife, Portia de Rossi.
“ The Ellen DeGeneres Show ” has been criticized with accusations of being a toxic workplace, allegedly fostering racism and sexual misconduct.

The channel also hosts the Australian show “Today”, “60 Minutes”, “Australian Ninja Warrior”, “The Voice” and more.
The “rest” period comes after “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” has been rocked by various scandals over the past few months.
Three big producers have “split up” from the show after being involved in multiple accusations of a toxic work environment and sexual misconduct.

Additionally, the 62-year-old host has herself been accused of bad behavior on several occasions, including by her former 2014 Oscar bodyguard, who said he never said hello to her.
“I’m holding [DeGeneres, her mother and de Rossi’s] hands and walk them through individuals and large groups of people. Ellen is the only person I’ve been assigned to – and I’ve been assigned to quite a few celebrities – who never took the time to say hello to me, ”Tom Majercak told Fox News.
