Apple has cut big supplier Pegatron from new contracts following the revelation of student labor violations at some of the Taiwanese manufacturer’s facilities based in China. Bloomberg reports that Apple discovered that Pegatron was forging paperwork in order to cover up violations of Apple’s code of conduct for suppliers.
Pegatron is one of Apple’s largest supply chain partners, making a variety of products including some of the latest iPhone 12 models. However, the company is now reportedly on probation and will not be able to win new business with it. Apple until the problem is resolved.
