The fact that Antonio Brown was back was lost in the stunning Tampa Bay loss.
It’s not all the way home. He only caught three passes for 31 yards on five targets, and he stopped on a road that resulted in an interception. But he was able, after playing a single match in nearly two years, to participate in 39 offensive shots.
That’s more than expected from Brown, who only recently joined the Buccaneers and became eligible for practice just five days ago.
Brown also had an impressive backhanded shot on a laser from quarterback Tom Brady. It happened long after the outcome of the game was no longer in doubt, but it was a glimpse of what he and the Bucs could do.
If / when they’re not playing against a team that is fucking them otherwise.
