Ariana Grande smiles on Instagram as her new album Positions debuts at number one on the Billboard 200

Ariana Grande was all smiles on Instagram Sunday after her latest album Positions became her fifth studio effort to reach number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.

The 27-year-old pop superstar posted a happy image of herself smiling with her eyes closed while wearing a pink dress with a giant bow down the front.

“ HAPPY, ” she wrote in the caption with an upside down smiley face for her 205 million or so followers on Instagram.

The Florida native took to social media to express his gratitude after Billboard reported that Positions became Ariana’s third number one album in less than two years and three months.

She shared the success of the graphic on Instagram and Twitter with a scroll read: ‘# 1 billboard positions 200 album’.

‘Hello thank you. it’s my favorite album at the moment and your response to the music has made my heart so unbelievably full that i can’t even begin to fully express what it means. so thanks. so much, ” Ariana also wrote on Twitter for her nearly 79 million followers.

She explained in more detail on Instagram, adding, “ I know these things aren’t very important in the grand scheme of things, but when they do happen I think it’s important to express your gratitude for your love and your support !!! so I am indeed rambling today. sry.

Positions was released on October 30 by Republic Records after Ariana surprised fans earlier in the month with short notice of the new music.

It debuted with 174,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the week ending Nov. 5, according to Nielsen Music / MRC Data.
