“We found ways to win” – Drew Brees rejoices in winning game against Tampa Bay

It was an embarrassing night for Bruce Arians’ Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They suffered their second loss this year at the hands of the New Orleans Saints under Drew Brees. Talented wide receiver Michael Thomas returned to the Saints’ starting lineup on Sunday as Antonio Brown made his Tampa Bay debut.

The Saints moved Tom Brady and Co. off the top of the NFC South Division table after last night’s emphatic 3-38 victory at Raymond James Stadium. New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees made 26 of 32 shots for 222 yards and four touchdowns.

Drew Brees condemns Tampa Bay Buccaneers to embarrassing loss

Drew Brees appeared as a ‘happy’ figure during the post-game press meet after Sunday’s heroism at Raymond James Stadium. The veteran NFL quarterback praised his teammates after the 3-38 win over Tom Brady and the Buccaneers.

He said, “Obviously we knew it was a big game. Divisional adversary. Tampa is playing extremely well. Look, that was the next game for us, that was the next challenge for us. We just try to improve ourselves every week. Obviously we’ve been a bit shorthanded the last few weeks ”

“You had to have a lot of young guys and play and they played well. We have found ways to win. Tonight, it was good to bring everyone back, to put them back in the mix ”

“I think we did it slowly. We wanted to spread the ball, we wanted to play complementary football. I can’t say enough about our defense, the defense played phenomenal. And then, offensively, we were able to own the ball, spin the ball well, throw the ball well and, in fact, it was a great night of execution. Brees said via NFL Network.

Sean Payton’s boys face the San Francisco 49ers next weekend. A win in Week 10 will ensure the Saints remain top of the NFC South Division table above the Buccaneers. New Orleans fans are hopeful that the return of Michael Thomas will help them retain their division title.
