For vegetable meat companies like Beyond and Impossible, deals with fast food restaurants are the easiest route to sustainability. McDonald’s was the the biggest potential prize in this competition. BMonday, he ended speculation on which company will have the chance to produce the future meat for his Happy Meals – Meet the McPlant.

During a call with reporters this morning, McDonald’s International President Ian Borden said the new McPlant fake meat burger would start rolling in some locations in 2021 and expand its availability based on demand.

Beyond meat and Impossible foods have launched a new type of veggie burger that uses a range of Ingredients and a secret formulation process to achieve a texture similar to a “bleeding” burger. Products from both companies have managed to get much more traction in recent years than any chickpea-based grinder patty. At the end of 2019, Beyond won the chance to test your product at select McDonald’s locations in Canada. It seems the test went so well that McDonald’s decided to cut out the middleman.

“Based on what we have learned and an encouraging response, we are delighted to give you an overview of McPlant—a delicious plant-based burger made for McDonald’s, by McDonald’s, ”the company wrote in its ad. “It’s made with a juicy plant-based patty and served on a warm sesame seed bun with all the classic toppings.

According to BloombergBorden said plant-based breakfast chicken and meat options are also on the cards.

No one has reported the taste of McPlant, but if it looks like other McDonald’s products, it will be chemically formulated to grab the attention and salvation of your brain.
