Jon Ossoff: Dems can win Georgia Senate second round as ‘team’

Jon Ossoff says he and Reverend Raphael Warnock, Georgia’s Democrats fighting two rounds of Jan. 5 to decide partisan control of the US Senate, can win as a “team” straddling the state’s demographic shifts.

Driving the news: Ossoff made the prediction in an interview for “Axios on HBO” in which he also said that his opponent in the January 5 primary, Senator David Purdue, embodies “Trumpism in a nutshell.”

• Purdue made headlines last month for mocking the name of Kamala Harris, now Vice-President Elect, whose parents hailed from Jamaica and India.
