McDonald’s employee claims he has proof that all of the fast food chain’s mugs contain the same amount of drink In video, employee pours
TikTok was left bemused after a McDonald’s employee posted a video claiming that all of their cup sizes contain exactly the same amount of drink.
The clip, which has been viewed over 1.6 million times, shows an employee of the fast food chain pouring a Coke into a small 16oz McDonald’s mug, before pouring the entire contents into a mug of medium size of 21 oz, then transfer the drink to a large 30 oz. Chopped off.
Each time, the drink appears to fill the cup all the way to the top, giving the viewer the impression that the containers all seem to hold equal amounts despite their obvious variation in size.
“ They’re lying to us, doe, ” worker @ mykah.mykah said in the video.
But many viewers weren’t fooled by the camera trickery.
So far, the video has over 12,000 comments, mostly from skeptics who believe a certain amount of the drink had already been poured into the cups before the stunt was filmed, but carefully concealed by the angle of the camera.

Importantly, the video never reveals the bottom of the cup, which would clearly show that a liquid was already sitting inside.
“ This is what happens when you lightly fill each of the cups and then pour more, ” one person wrote, while another agreed to add, “ You could at least make less. obvious the fact that you have filled the cups. ”
But some users seem to be playing the game, claiming the video is the real deal.
Each time the liquid, which does not contain ice, adapts to the next size, except for a few centimeters at the top
“I worked at McDonald’s and it is true,” said a former employee. “ Always say no ice or ice on the side (in another mug) and only order small dishes, NEVER medium in size. ”
Another user joked that it didn’t matter whether the statement was true or not.
“Either way, you’re just going to fill the entire cup with ice and leave no room for the drink itself,” they wrote.
“Now pour the big into the small,” one user challenged.
“So, does nobody know he put Coke in the cups before the full?” wrote another.
