Steve Cohen cleaned up the Mets reception, but Luis Rojas is probably staying.
Outgoing team president Sandy Alderson said on Tuesday it was “very likely” that Rojas will remain the Mets manager for the 2021 MLB season.
Alderson said he “left the door slightly ajar” out of respect for the process of filling vacancies at the front office. Alderson said he had spoken to Rojas several times since Friday.
Brodie Van Wagenen was fired as general manager after the Cohen Mets deal struck on Friday. Several other front office members, including Omar Minaya, were also fired.
