Rocket League is certainly no slouch in this next-gen improvement action, and developer Psyonix has now detailed upcoming changes to its four-wheeled soccer game on Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5 before it ends. of the year.
In a new article on the Rocket League website, Psyonix explains that it has two sets of updates underway for next-gen consoles. The first, arriving on launch day, will power Rocket League at 4K / 60fps with HDR on Xbox Series X and 1080p / 60fps with HDR on Series S.
PS5 owners, on the other hand, can enjoy 4K (checkerboard) at 60 fps with HDR, and all next-gen consoles will offer faster load times and improved split-screen performance.
The second update has so far only been announced for the Xbox Series X / S and will introduce a new video quality setting in the Video tab of Rocket League’s Settings menu. This will allow players to choose between quality and performance, which Psyonix details as follows:

- Game runs at 1344 x 756 resolution (70% of full 1080p) at 120 FPS with HDR
Additionally, Psyonix notes that players will be able to access their existing Rocket Pass progress and inventory on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S through their Epic Games account.
