Figuring out what to wear to a gig will take a back seat to your COVID-19 status when tours resume in 2021 – Ticketmaster setting new regulations before you can sit down.
The ticket company is said to be in the early stages of developing a plan that includes fans showing proof that they have been vaccinated or tested negative within 24 to 72 hours of being admitted to a show.
Ticketmaster has not set a date for the end of the COVID-19 security measure. It is also unclear whether he will reimburse fans who test positive or refuse to be vaccinated.
The proposed plan was reported by Billboard, and comes in the wake of pharmaceutical giant Pfizer announcing its coronavirus vaccine showing a 90% efficiency rate. This gives concert halls and artists hope that the industry can make a comeback.
Ticketmaster is said to work with third-party health apps and independent labs, and claims that the data sent to them will be securely and encrypted. Ticketmaster would NOT have access to spectator medical records.
Welcome to the new normal.
